Nathan Baker's grandfather (W.M. Baker) was a rancher in Sulphur, Oklahoma. He had always wanted the family to construct a cross on the high point of the ranch which overlooks much of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and the town of Sulphur. Nathan Baker and Atticus Mullon designed a cross out of old barn timbers that had been in the Baker family for well over 100 years. Several other family members pitched in to build and raise the cross on the site that W.M. Baker had selected many year ago.
The cross is dedicated to W.M. Baker and Fuz Kennedy who both spent a good portion of their lives working on this ranch.
