HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATION
Northwest Classen High School, with over 200,000 square feet, was in need of numerous improvements. Interior work included completely renovating the auditorium, corridors, classrooms, and related areas. Exterior renovations included repainting/repairing the exterior and courtyard and bus stop improvements. The biggest challenge in the design process was budget control. There were more immediate needs than funds allowed. Part of the solution came in private fund raising for the auditorium renovation. Many Northwest Classen alumni donated money to the project which allowed more of the designated funds to go to the classroom and support functions. Integrated Architecture worked hard to make sure designs got implemented within the allowable budget. This project was a hard bid, so Integrated Architecture worked with a third party estimator during the design process to produce a design that came in on budget.
